GUS was found in the public shelter in Bârlad in 2021, a place where animals often lose their chance for a better life. Although he was initially rescued and sponsored by a generous individual, in 2022 his sponsor abandoned him and the full responsibility of his care fell on the team's shoulders Ringo Land Romania, one of the two shelters managed by the No Limit Pets Association.
Even without external support, the team did not give up on GUS. With much love and perseverance, they constantly promoted him in their adoption campaigns, hoping that one day someone will give the old man a home full of love.
On a cold December evening, our hearts filled with emotion – some of us wept with joy, others breathed a sigh of relief. Old GUS, the dog who waited three years in oblivion, has finally arrived home. This is the story of a rescue that shows how important the work of the team at No Limit Pets Association and how much hope we can bring together in the lives of abandoned animals.
After many years of waiting, in June 2024, GUS was noticed by Beate Lisius, a person with a warm soul and a huge love for animals. Beate decided to become GUS's sponsor, thus giving him a chance at a better life. In December, the dream came true: the old GUS left for his new home, where he now lives in peace and comfort.
The day of GUS's departure from Ringo Land was a windy one again the old man with thin legs trembled slightly. But once he got into the transport car, a new life awaited him. Now, GUS spends his days in a loving home. Beate says that the old man integrated quickly and showed his gentle and friendly character.
This happy ending would not have been possible without the solidarity and support of wonderful people like Beate Lisius and the team Fellfreunde Im Glück GUG, led by Anja Rosen. They stood by us, giving us unconditional help to make this adoption possible.
GUS's case is just one of thousands of similar stories that reflect the dedication of the No Limit Pets Association. With two shelters, Ringo Land Romania and Sanctuary Ringo Land, the association not only rescues abandoned animals, but gives them a chance at a new life through adoption campaigns and supporting their rehabilitation.
