Candy's first challenge was the "cherry eye" operation, which she successfully overcame thanks to the professionalism of the veterinary clinic and Regina's positive energy. But the real challenge was her emotional rehabilitation due to severe anxiety. Diana, our trainer at Ringo Land, worked for months to help Candy open up, starting with small moments of trust and working her way up to integrating her into daily walks.
One memorable moment was when Candy ran out of her coop and hid in Ringo's chicken coop under some logs. Diana knelt before her and Candy finally came out. To prevent such incidents, we bought her a GPS vest, making sure we could find her if she ran away again.
Another important moment in Candy's story was when Regine decided to build her a house, even though she lived in a safe indoor space at Ringo Land. Regina's care and affection set the tone for a new chapter in Candy's life.
Candy's story showed us that no matter the challenges faced, love and patience can completely transform a dog's life. The long rehabilitation process was possible thanks to the united efforts of our team and the sponsors who believed in it. Candy reminds us how important support is for every step of a dog's journey to recovery.
