For the No limit pets Association, the protection of the personal data you have provided to us is very important.
Thus, we consider it an appropriate time to inform you about how we protect your personal data, respectively, about how we adopt, apply and comply with the provisions of the Regulation, in this regard. Therefore, we are sending you this
INFORMATION to INDIVIDUALS CUSTOMERS regarding the PROCESSING of PERSONAL DATA
The main objective of the Regulation is to strengthen the protection of the personal data of individuals and create a climate of trust, allowing each person to have and exercise real, direct and rapid control over the processing of their personal data.
As you know, on May 25, 2018, it became directly applicable, also in Romania, European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter referred to as "Regulation")
The No limit pets Association has its registered office in Bacău, Costache Negri Street, 5th floor, room C, ap. 1, Bacău County, unique registration code 39185990. This privacy policy refers strictly to the data obtained and processed by the No limit pets Association in Romania.
1) Personal data processed
The personal data we process are mainly the identification data of individual customers, demographic data, location data or any (other) personal data that we collect directly from customers or from other (controllable or verifiable) sources, when you become our collaborator or donor.
2) When do we process personal data?
Personal data is collected every time you interact with us. The type, amount of information collected, and how it is used vary depending on the purpose for which it is provided to us.
3) The purposes for which we process personal data
We process your personal data exclusively for legitimate purposes, such as providing information about the use of your donation, about the activities carried out by our Association, about the events you have participated in or sponsored, or about the initiatives in which you have expressed your interest. Also, if you have adopted a dog or cat from our shelters, we use your data to maintain contact with you and to send you news about the adopted animal, according to the provisions of the adoption contract.
At the same time, we process your personal data to identify you through communication means, for marketing purposes, to improve and develop our campaigns and, last but not least, to prevent and combat fraud or money laundering activities.
Data processing is always based on the need to comply with a legal obligation, on our legitimate interest, on an overriding public interest (such as national defense, public order or national security) or, where applicable, on your express consent, when you have given it.
4) What data do we collect?
The type and amount of data we collect, as well as how we use it, are determined solely by the purpose for which you provide it to us. The data we may collect from various interactions includes, but is not limited to:
- Your name, address, telephone number, email address or shipping address, along with your preferences for how you would like to be contacted in the future, as well as information filled in the fields available on our websites or in the third-party applications we use.
- Information you enter on our website.
- Images, photos or videos in the event of your participation in an event organized by us.
- Details about your visit to our website, including technical information such as the IP address used to access the website, browser type and version, and devices used for browsing.
- Any other information you provide us, including reasons why you supported us or observations you shared.
5) Legal basis for data processing
Our use of your personal data always complies with legal provisions. According to the law, we only process data if we have a valid legal basis.
Typically, we will use your personal data in the following situations:
- For the performance of a contract entered into or to be entered into, for example, to provide you with a requested service (such as updates on adoptions).
- When necessary for our legitimate interests, provided that these do not override your fundamental interests and rights.
- When we have a legal or regulatory obligation to do so.
In general, we do not rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your personal data, except in cases where it concerns the transmission of messages via email or SMS relating to direct marketing communications, fundraising campaigns or events.
The legitimate interests of the No Limit Pets Association include managing its activities, sending marketing materials and maintaining a good relationship with our supporters.
Here are some concrete examples of data processing activities based on legitimate interest that we carry out to support our objectives:
- Managing your communication and marketing preferences: We record your preferences and keep suppression files to ensure we do not contact you if you have requested this.
- Supporter records: We keep a history of your relationship with us, including orders and donations made, to maintain a good collaboration and to better understand how we can support you.
- Database review: We analyze our organization-wide database of supporters for historical, scientific, and statistical purposes.
- Operational management: We manage current organizational activities, which include:
- Internal planning and management.
- Thank you for the support provided.
- Periodic information about the activities you support.
- Constantly sending newsletters to keep you updated on our initiatives.
- Financial management and controls:
a) Processing supplier invoices.
b) Administering the necessary funding for our programs.
c) Implementing the necessary measures to prevent fraud, verify donors and ensure compliance with legal norms to avoid abuses or money laundering activities.
In addition, we ensure that any data processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest respects the fundamental rights and interests of our supporters and contributes to the fulfillment of our mission.
6)Management of agreements expressed by customers. Possibility of changing options
In order to be able to offer you personalized services that are as close as possible to your interests, we usually process personal data that allows us to identify your preferences and/or behavior, including through automated processes that do not require human intervention. For this type of processing, including direct marketing communications, we will always take your choices into account.

7) Recipients of our communications. Data transfer to operators and recipients, from Romania and abroad
In order to provide the most competitive services to our supporters, to execute the transactions you initiate, to fulfill our legal obligations or for other legitimate purposes, we inform you that it is possible to transmit your personal data, as appropriate, to public authorities, external consultants, contractual partners or other partner entities with the No Limit Association, authorized persons to whom we have outsourced the provision of certain services and other categories of recipients, from Romania or outside it, or from the European Union/European Economic Area or outside them.
However, at the time and on the occasion the transmission/transfer of your personal data, we ensure, always and permanently, that we establish adequate safeguards to protect your personal data by the respective recipients listed above.
WE DO NOT SELL your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes!
8) Secure processing of personal data
The measures may consist of, but are not limited to, limiting access (to third parties) to the processed personal data, encrypting or anonymizing the data, storing and/or archiving them in secure environments, etc.
The security of your personal data on the internet
Our site may, from time to time, contain links to third party websites. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that they will have their own privacy policies and that we accept no responsibility for those policies.
Check these policies before submitting personal data to these sites.
Despite all our precautions, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. So while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose to us and please note that you do so at your own risk.
If we have given you (or you have chosen) a password that allows you to access certain parts of our website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of this password and please do not share it with anyone.
9) Social networks
Depending on your personal settings or the privacy policies of social media platforms and messaging services, such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter, you may grant us permission to access certain information from those accounts or services. For example, we occasionally participate in Facebook’s “Target Audience” program, which allows us to display personalized ads to existing or potential supporters directly on that platform.
As part of this program, we may provide personal information, such as your email address, to Facebook. This information is used to verify whether you have a Facebook account. If there is a match, our ads may be displayed while you are using the platform. Your data is transmitted in an encrypted format, ensuring its security, and is deleted by Facebook if it does not match an existing account.

Additional activities related to the use of social networks:
- Creating custom audiences: Based on the data provided, we can create custom audiences for our campaigns, so that we can ensure that our ads are relevant to the users they are targeting.
- Interaction monitoring: We analyze the activity around our campaigns published on social media to better understand the preferences and interests of our supporters.
- Collaborations with other platforms: We may use similar functionality on other social platforms or messaging services to promote our activities and communicate more effectively with our supporters.
Security and transparency measures:
We are committed to processing your personal data transparently and securely. All information shared with third parties, such as Facebook, is managed in accordance with applicable legal regulations and is encrypted to protect their privacy.

10) Processing (and storage) period of personal data
Your personal data is processed, throughout our contractual relationship and after its completion, at least for the period imposed by the legal provisions applicable in the field, including, but not limited to, the legal provisions regarding archiving.
11) Anonymization or deletion of your personal data
When we anonymize or delete data, we will ensure that it is no longer possible to identify you. We may retain anonymous data for future analysis of aggregated statistical data so that we can better understand our supporters. This may be for research or statistical purposes or for any other purpose, and we may use this information for an unlimited period without prior notice to you.
12) Customer rights and how to exercise them
In addition to your existing rights (which you already benefit from under the Romanian Constitution and subsequent legislation), we inform you that, from the date of application of the Regulation, you benefit from additional specific rights regarding the protection of personal data, as listed below:
- A) Right to information – you can request information regarding our activities of processing your personal data.
This right includes the following:
- the right of access to processed data;
- the right to be informed about:
(i) the purposes of the processing,
(ii) the categories of personal data processed,
(iii) the natural persons concerned,
(iv) the recipients or categories of recipients,
(v) the expected or fixed storage period,
(vi) the source of these data, as well as, where applicable,
(vii) the existence of an automated processing and decision-making process;
- B) Right to data rectification – you can rectify or modify your inaccurate personal data or complete it;
- C) The right to erasure of data (“the right to be forgotten” – you can request and obtain the deletion of data, if our processing of it was not lawful or in other cases provided for by law;
- D) Right to restriction of processing – you can request us to restrict processing if you dispute the accuracy of the data, as well as in other cases provided for by law;
- E) Right to object (to data processing) – you can object, in particular, to data processing based on our legitimate interest;
- F) Right to data portability – you can receive, under certain conditions, the personal data you have provided to us, in a format that can be read automatically, or you can request that we transmit that data to another operator;
- G) Right to file a complaint – you can file a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing regarding our way of processing your personal data;
- H) Right to withdraw consent – where our processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. The withdrawal of consent will only have effect for the future, with processing carried out prior to withdrawal remaining valid;
(We specify that in the event of exercising the right to withdraw consent (if our processing is based on your consent), we will immediately operate your option (to withdraw consent) in our systems, however, for technical and operational reasons, the withdrawal of consent will take effect within a maximum period of 30 days from the date of receipt of your withdrawal request. - I) Additional rights related to automated decisions: you can request and obtain human intervention from us regarding the respective processing, you can express your own point of view regarding it and you can contest our decision.
