How we started

More than 10 years ago, Florin (President of our Association) saved a dog from the streets and named him Ringo. The dog had been hit by a car and could not walk. Although he was found paralyzed in his hind legs from the blow, Ringo he was strong enough and managed to make a full recovery.

For Florin, this was just the beginning of his journey in the fight for animal rights and welfare.

He started rescuing and keeping abandoned puppies in his own apartment, but he always worked to give these animals more space.

In 2017 came into being Ringo Land Romania (Bacău dog and cat shelter). Today, it is the place where many, many dogs and cats feel at home and can be made dog adoptions and cat adoptionsi. They are sponsored by friends from abroad, from Romania or by Florin himself.

And yet the story continues, for in the year 2023 the second shelter, named Sanctuary Ringo Land.

How we have evolved in these years

I started with Ringo Land Romania. A place where thousands of dogs have been rescued and adopted.

Then we continued with a new shelter called Sanctuary Ringo Land.

We have gradually grown from two people taking care of dogs, to over 20 people who not only take care of animals but provide medical assistance, rehabilitate dogs traumatized by human violence, ensure that all animals have the right papers, ensure correct and verified adoptions , organize sterilization campaigns, etc.

In these years of activity, we can proudly say that the name Ringo Land is known not only in Romania, but throughout Europe.

With every donation, you bring a dog closer to a happy and healthy life. Whether it's providing food, medical care or rehabilitation support, your help makes a difference.
